Kicking off early (at 1.30pm) to accommodate the visitors’ travel plans, the game will be the first competitive encounter between the sides and almost certainly the first-ever meeting.

Myles Landick’s home team will be keen to get back to winning ways on home turf after the reverse at the hands of London Welsh three weeks ago. It was just the second home defeat in two-and-a-half seasons of league rugby and today’s game at CoinShares Park offers the chance to start the pre-Christmas set of games with a ‘W’.
The Island side won impressively at Camberley last time out, scoring the first 21 points of the game and eventually victorious by 38-22. Landick is able to make minimal changes, including just one player brought into the starting pack as Tom Tilstone comes into the back row and Euan Spencer is shunted forward to take Cam Keys’ place in the engine room.
Midfield pairing Dan Barnes and Nathan Rogers are the other two players back into the starting XV, meaning Tom Bulfin moves out to the wing while Jacques de la Bat and Dylan Stocks miss out.
Regular number eight George Willmott, who has also filled in as a centre on occasions this season, is among a three-man bench alongside Jake Bates and Callum Cuthbert.

Elsewhere in R1SC, Horsham will be the latest team to try and unseat league leaders London Welsh and their 100% record, while third-placed Wimbledon host Bracknell and fifth-placed CS Stags entertain the team above them, Camberley. The other pairings involve four sides in the bottom five: Hammersmith v Tunbridge Wells and Brighton against Old Alleynians.
JRFC Women have a couple of weeks off after last week’s home clash with Heathfield – a tough loss, but one which nevertheless showed the strides the Jersey team have made as they compete at an appreciably higher level of competition than in previous seasons. The girls will next be in action away to Dartford Valley on Saturday December 14th.
After an away game against Old Aleynians in south-east London next weekend, there’s one more home outing for JRFC Men this side of Christmas, with Hammersmith & Fulham the visitors in two weeks’ time and the prospect of a double-header, with both clubs’ 2nd XVs getting a run-out earlier in the day.
Don’t forget the last Autumn International between Ireland and Australia will be on in the clubhouse, kicking off at around the same time as the live action outside will conclude.
