Insurance broker Gallagher will be the headline sponsor of the Siam Cup in Jersey until 2029, providing long-term security for the prestigious fixture in the Island.

This year’s Siam Cup on Saturday May 3rd will be the second time that Gallagher, title sponsor of Premiership Rugby in England, has sponsored the event, signing a new deal to take their commitment to 2029.

“We are delighted that Gallagher, a name synonymous with rugby in England, have pledged their support to this historic fixture all the way to 2029,” said Jersey Rugby Football Club Chairman Dan McAlister. “We look forward to working in partnership to deliver the best Siam Cup game day yet.”

The global insurance broker, which owns Rossborough Insurance locally, has been a supporter of the grassroots game in Jersey for many years, including being the first-ever ladies’ team sponsor.

“Jersey’s rugby club has a reputation for team-work, and winning, and with strong ties to the local community the club aligns with our own values and culture at Gallagher,” said Group Managing Director, Rossborough and Gallagher Channel Islands and Isle of Man, James Anderson.

“Having been Jersey’s trusted broker since 1936, we know the value of stability, reliability, longevity and excellence and are proud to be supporting this historic fixture which is part of Jersey’s unique heritage – much like ourselves. We embrace the fact that we are a global brand, with global reach, but pride ourselves on our long-established local presence and our role as a community broker.”

James Anderson added: “We are very much looking forward to working with JRFC to make the Siam Cup, sponsored by Gallagher, a special day for all, young and old.”

More information about what’s happening on game day – and in the run up to the big fixture – will be released over the coming weeks, with supporters urged to keep an eye on the JRFC social media channels to stay up to date.
